Our Mission
Bullying is a widely recognized on-going problem in our society that happens most among teenagers. With the advent of advanced technology, ways of bullying seem to have become dramatically bold and diverse. Victims of bullying can be traumatized and the effects of it may be lifelong and require them to get psychological attention. We hereby decided to choose this cause to spread awareness about bullying and its effects by the means of Art. Being the victims of bullying, our group understands bullying perhaps than anybody else. By processing our thoughts and outcome in visual form, we will not only be able to convey our message boundlessly and evoke the audience but also sharpen and display our skills.
We came up with a plan that includes making poster collage with a sign-up paper to pledge that they will not bully and also that they will help the victims and lollipops with a message attached that can be easily mass-produce and handed out to those who signed up. Photos of two of our group members’ faces will be pasted on the black paper with offensive words pasted in layers clouding the faces of purposely victims of bullying. The helpline number and a hashtag will be displayed as well.
Our solemn goal is encouraging people to be conscious of the effects of bullying and the fact that their help can bring a tremendous change and be a huge support to the victims. We want to get minimum 100 people to sign up on our posters.

#IAmNotYourWords
To start with we wanted a provoking and captivating poster. From magazines and newspapers we cut and paste the words and phrases that are used as verbal abuse, a commonest form of bullying. Though we were able to gather some valuable words, finding offensive words from printed media wasn't very easy and took a great amount of effort and time. Thus, we typed and printed out the words ourselves using Microsoft Words to supply. By overlapping the words and using watercolor wash technique, we built a chaotic and prominent aura of the poster. A thought bubble saying 'I am not your words' represents our group's slogan. We are yet in progress of making a banner and adding few more details.

First day of Campaign
Last day and the outcome
Even though we couldn't accomplish our goal within 2 days, we got 59 people signed up for our project which we are very contented with. 59 isn't near 100 but it showed that they acknowledged our effort and our message was reached to them. Overall, we learned a lot while doing this project and feel proud that we were involved in this project to help our communities. It was a great opportunity.
